"GONE WITH THE WIND".
This "Gone With The Wind" musical played at the Drury Lane Theater in London for 398 performances from 1972 to 1973. The play was directed and choreographed by Joe Layton and starred
Harve Presnell as 'Rhett Butler' and June Ritchie as 'Scarlett O'Hara'.
The play was produced by
Harold Fielding.
A few interesting side notes of this production: it was the most expensive play produced on the famous London stage (0,000) and included Southern accents, the burning of Atlanta, Civil War battles, a live horse on stage and a royal audience. The preview show was attended by
